Depends what you're planning on shooting and using it for really. The 5D MkII doesn't have much over what the 5D 'classic' does for my uses![]()
if you can stretch for the MKII then go for it, if not the 5D is still a great camera.
I use mine for portraits and it's great.

Probably thousands of weddings have been successfully shot with the Classic so it's clearly up to the job. If you don't want or need the video then I'm sure you'll feel better equipped with two Classics rather than one MkII.
