5D2 usage

I'm looking to get a 5D2 but not seen the answer anywhere...

shutter actuations can be gotten pretty simply with software thats fine, is there a way to see how much video has been captured on the body as this could well make a difference to longevity.

Not sure you can get the shutter actuations accurately from the 5D. There is software that shows this if the data is encoded into the image file data but I don't think Canon do this anymore

I'm fairly sure that the simple answer is no, you cannot find out what level of video use the camera has had.

The shutter count just clocks up by one for each video, so unfortunately you'll never know how much time.

What matters more is the total actuations rather than how much video.
