I am thinking of using the opportunity of having decent quality recording equipment to experiment with video. just as last Christmas I got my 1st decent DSLR and got into tography !

I have been looking at the Rode Stereo Video Mic, I'd like to take video of cars on track, so the stereo feature would add a lot.

What is your PC spec ?
As 5d2 records full HD it requires quite good CPU to handle it.

Does the footage look okay when you view it on the camera screen?

I had a similar problem and it turned out that I was getting interference from one of the codecs in the K-Lite Codec pack - I'm buggered if I can remember the name of which one it was though. I'll have a look when I get home as I know how frustrating it can be - it was messing with my HF10 as well, and I was ready to throw my kit out of the window at one point!!
