seeing a similar thread for a nikon, I wondered what were the thoughts for the 5DII price forecast ???

the 7D just dropped £400 in a month !!!! any ideas wht the 5DII will do ?

I've decided it's the body for me ... but when to buy ??? not in a particular hurry, but dont want the prices to go up ether !
 
ive heard it mentioned this was due to the prices being too similar. I have no idea if there is any truth in that. I just bought mine the other week so kinda hope they dont drop too soon :D

I got the list from Kerso yesterday, the 5D MKII is listed as £1675.

Does anyone know what these are going for 2nd hand (assuming you can get one)?

I think it should not go lower than £1600....not unless Canon releases new FF model(nod 1ds4..more like 5d3) Its a great piece of kit and it is worth its money!

Of course someone says that me as a 5d2 owner says so as I would not to like loose too much if I would like to sell it...maybe..but look for how much old 5d1's go...still around £900!

But again its not me who is setting up the prices :gag:
 
The Canon 7D on UK launch was alot higher priced in UK than the import models such as OSD had on sale where as now its dropped to similar prices, The 5D Mark II though is similar price in UK and Import so i could be totally wrong but id assume that it'll stay same price or go up with Vat changing soon :thinking:
