Its just good to have, I know people complain about how you wont use it or how useless it is and that you'd like a model that did everything but didn't have the video (save the £'s) but it is just a really nice feature for some quick fun videos :).

Towing snowboarders :)

I've not edited the video as you can tell but for a quick shot out the back of the truck :) its pretty good I've got a couple more that are slightly less wobbly.

I love how laid-back and relaxed the whole thing is, like its just a typical day out.

I was looking at the 5dII video samples on the canon site, some of it was just stunning, with the right tripod and other gadgets they are powerful bits of kit film equipment.

I have a question though, seeing as it records at 1920x1080, does that mean that it records from a cropped portion of the sensor? If so does that introduce crop factor issues? Because at 1080p that would be a quarter of the sensors pixel count.

Well you know, curising down the country at 20mph with some snowbaorders off the back :P is fairly typical haha, 3.5L Toyota Surf 4x4 (not mine)

I'm not sure how it works that bit out, I know you get guides when in Live View but I've not looked into it, but that is a good question.

I am seriously thinking about saving up for a steady cam attachment now though after yesterday :).

The video on the 5d was the one reason I was tempted to make the move from Nikon, however, now there is talk of decent video coming out in the early part of next year I was happy to stick with the brand.

Looking forward to experimenting with video, and it is something I've always said that it is better to have and not use than want it and not have it :)
