5Dmk2 battery discharge when inactive?

Due to presures at work and life in general I haven't picked up my beloved 5Dmk2 in two or so weeks.

I always make sure the battery is charged after use (so it is ready to go when I am) so was surprised to see that it was down to 39%. It was definitely OFF at the back.

Is this normal for the 5Dmk2? My old 40D never did this I'm sure.

Depends how new your battery is I'm sure. i.e. if you've only charged it once or twice it won't be up to full capacity yet.

That's a possibility, I'm running without grip at the minute and this could well be the newer battery of the two.
