Yes
just seen the new 6D post on dp preview (http://www.dpreview.com/news/2012/09/17/Canon-EOS-6D-preview-20MP-full-frame) and canon's website, would it be worth sticking with my plans to get the 7d? will the 6d affect the cost of the 7d in anyway?

I mainly photograph wildlife, landscapes and general holiday stuff when I'm on holiday but the rest of the time its usually indoor gigs and school events as well as walkabouts stuff.

I have the kit 18-55mm ef-s which i know wont work with the 6d,
the 50 f1.8 and the
70-200 f4l

Totally different kettle of fish to the 7D. What did you want the 7D for? If its anything fast moving, motorsports, wildlife etc (on paper) the 7D is your best bet. It's 1.6 crop so you've got the extra length for the wildlife.

However if you're looking for image detail and things like portraits / landscapes then on paper the 6D would have it.

As you say you like wildlife and landscapes what do you prefer? The 70-200 is going to seem a lot shorter on the full frame 6D.

I think Ill stick with the 7d,
I mainly take shots like on this set:

and yea i see where you are coming from, ill have to take my stuff into a shop and try out the 70-200 on the 6d however the focusing on the 7d I have heard is the best on a crop sensor and probably much better than the 6d and that's the main problem with my 500d atm a lot of my photos were out of focus, i had to double check to get them as sharp as the ones in that set, that means I missed quite a few moments when in this case the deer stood on its hind legs and reached for the branch (I caught one or two photos of it but they weren't composed as well as they could of been) I suppose it would mean i could forget about the focusing and more on the composition which would improve my photos. (sorry but I think ive just justified why i should get the 7d by myself)
