70-200 F4L a bit soft?

Had my 70-200 F4l for a couple of years now and had some good results from it but this last week I have been playing around with it and noticed its not too sharp wide open at 200mm heres some examples all taken at F4 on a tripod with the mirror locked up and the shutter on 10 second timer.All images have been cropped to 100%. Ive tried Microadjusting the camera but this is as good as it gets.Is this normal or have I just got a bad one?

Go out and shoot some real life targets. This is not a macro lens and will never rival 100mm macro at such focal distances.

Are you sure the target label is sharp?

Agree, real targets that have decent contrast are a better option
