Thinking of buying this lens without HSM and does this make a lot of difference especially if lens is around £400 used in vgc and believe mk 1
Alternatively buying on eBay from Korea is this wise new for £500 with HSM UNDERSTAND warranty probs ?

Any advice appreciated
 
What camera body are you thinking of using it on as the HSM means that it has a motor in the lens... So if its for say a Nikon D40 or D3100 or any other similar Nikon bodeies - then it wont auto focus on the body...

I'm not so sure on Canon bodies... As I'm a Nikon user
 
You could drop Kerso a line as he deals with Canon gear & he MAY be able to help you out - he's a member on here & is also on ebay & plus he has his own site which is www.flashcamera.co.uk ....

Not saying that he can but it maybe worth a try & he could save you a few £'s....
