7D lens choice

Looks like the time has just about come for me to buy the 7D I promised myself, I have bought myself a few decent lenses but the one I am least happy with is a Sigma 17-70mm.

Would I be better buying the 15-85mm with the 7D and selling the Sigma?

I must admit I loved my 17-70 but the 15-85 is supposed to be a cracker.

You could consider getting a fast f2.8 constant aperture lens, such as the Canon 17-55 f2.8 IS, Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 or Tamron 17-50mm f2.8.

I personally have the Sigma and it is excellent, great range on a 1.6 crop body (although you may find it a bit short if you are used to a 17-70?) and allows me to take indoor shots without flash.

I currently use a 16-50mm f2.8 so am used to that range.
Maybe I should take a look at the Tamron 17-50mm .. the Canon looks good but until I am sure which system is better for me I think splashing out that sort of cash would be a bit daft.
