7d mk2 firmware update will 3rd party batteries still work ?

If I update my 7 day mk2 to the latest firmware will my 7d mk1 batteries from the 7 day shop still work in the 7d mk2 ?
I've got a mk1 and mk2 7d and use 7day shop batteries in both
I'm going away soon for a week and won't have any mains power so will need to buy a few more batteries the 7 day shop ones are excellent and it would cost too much to buy half a dozen or so Canon ones

I tried one in mine which was on the original firmware a while ago,these had been used in the 7D MK I without an issue.
Inserted one into the 7D MK II and get a non genuine message on screen,clicked ok and it worked fine.The issue came when I took it out later to charge,the red/Amber light flashes all the time and never turns green IE will no longer charge up.Worked 100% in the MK I.
I've avoided using the other three in it,will post the make of these things up later.

I've ordered 8 that should last me for 6 days shooting on both cameras if i include the 3 I have already

All sorted I did the firmware update and my old 7 day shop batteries still worked ok although still got the error message when I turned on the camera
I ordered 8 new batteries from 7 day shop and today tried them in the 7d mk2 and they worked perfectly and didn't get the error message either so they must be chipped now
All excellent and now ready for my trip
