Has anyone had a similar problem???

I was out and about on Sunday when my battery indicator started flashing to let me know that the battery was running out. At this time when I took a pic the review stopped appearing, when I tried to look at it manually I noticed that all of the buttons on the back stopped functioning. The only bits that worked were the selection dial, the wheel on the top and the shutter release.

I turned off the camera and went home to charge it. Today with a fully charged battery I still have all the same faults and now I am worried something serious has gone wrong.

Can anyone help?
 
I'd try a second battery before panicking. Could just be that one having become duff.

Thanks for the input about the battery, It did read full on the screen but to be safe I have ordered a new one (needed to get a spare anyway).

As for getting wet, no, but we were out when it was chucking it down so I assume the air was damp although I thought the body of the 7d was designed to weather sealed. As for age she must be getting on a bit, cant remember when I got her but it wasn't long after they came out.

She is insured but don't use it if possible as they get there money back in the end!

As an update I turned it on today to connect to the PC and everything is working!!! Stupid camera!
