Yes
Had a play in the camera shop with a 7D very impressed
In single point autofocus is it possible to select the focus point manually with the joystick while looking through the veiwfinder?
I was able to get the grid up on the back screen and move the focuspoint around with the joystick but could not get the grid when looking through the veiwfinder. Unfortunatley the guy in the shop did not know either:shrug:

I'm hoping to upgrade from my 40D am looking at 550D, 60D and 7D
Could afford the 550D in the near future and it looks very good too its just the small buffer when shooting in raw that puts me off
Pete

Yes it is. You need to set the af modes in cfIII 6 (I think) then after you select af mode with the button on the back, scroll through with the m-fm button to single point. Then you can select it with the joystick.

Or summat like that.

Thanks thats great just read through it does what I want and a lot more besides:)

Yes you can and have different points for both landscape and portrait too.
