7D + Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 VC VS 6D 24-105mm F4 IS

Hello All,

I'm at an stage where I can currently upgrade my camera as mine is currently broken.

Now I know the options are in a different league...but price aside...what would be the best combo.

Its either opting for the 7D plus my current Tamron lens which is very good.

Or going all out and getting the new 6D with the Canon 24-105mm Lens.

I already have a nifty fifty.

The photos I mainly take are of family, kids, family parties and holidays etc you get the idea..I am an amateur who likes quality of the shots. I don't plan on ever being a professional tog.

So in your opinion, which would be the better combo?? I'm leaning to the 6D due to the high iso and better features. However will I regret getting rid of my 17-50 Tamron 2.8 and moving to full frame?

full frame is well worth it.

going to 7D is pretty pointless upgrade since you have already got a pretty good camera.

Considering the added range of 24-105, you are getting a fantastic holiday combo out of this.

Thanks...Still undecided but I am swaying towards the 6D just for the lower ISO and the bigger range.
