7D to 5D3 Learning curve

Any one done this upgrade?

Fancy going full frame and with the price of the 6D being fairly close to the 5D, thought it was only right to buy the bigger brother.
Unsure at present if I will keep the 7D or just use both.

I currently have both but prefer the 5D3 for the majority of shooting situations over 7D. If not focal length limited, I doubt you will be unhappy with the move across to 5D3. I will be putting my 7D up for sale here soon, 5D3 is THAT good.

Meant to add that the learning curve is non-existent really ! If you can shoot with one you can just as easily move over to the other body.

I had a 5D2 and 7D and sold them both to get a 5D3. Then I discovered I missed having 2 bodies so I eventually added another 7D to the 5D3. The 5D3 gets at least 80% of the use but I do like the 7D for wildlife and BIF shots if the lights good. Between the 6D, which has slightly better IQ and DR, and the 5D3 which has excellent IQ, a killer AF and is a fantastic allrounder I would go for the 5D3. I've had mine almost a year and it's by far the best camera I've ever had. I found it really easy to adapt to the 5D3 from the 7D and I find I can go from one to another without any major problems. The only problem I find is I keep trying to use the wrong button to pixel peep on the 5D3 (instead of the magnify and scroll).

I don't really get the whole learning curve of a new body bar menus etc. the same principals apply to making pictures. Well maybe changes to the AF system. All my upgrades over the years I have never felt there was really a learning curve as such. You can keep evolving on any camera really...
