There is not that much you can upgrade to for reasonable money. A 5D mkII has a better sensor, but almost every feature on the 5D II is of a lower spec than that of the 7D. As for downgrades, don't be silly.

I dont use the full potential of the 7d so i feel like i am letting it down in complete honesty....! I dont no what do do..... :-s

I wouldn't upgrade to a 5d if you're not using the 7d to its potential then. Are you finding the camera too big and clumsy so aren't using it much, or just taking snapshots with it? Curious to know how you aren't using it to its potential?

Where am i advertising my self as a professional photographer? No where that i know of!

Potential wise its a sports camera mainly i brought it withthe intentions of using it when i was in iraq last year but i didnt end up going.... Now it seems a pointless toy to have if i dont use it to full capacity
