85mm or 10-22mm ???

looking to buy a new lens.Stuck between 85mm 1.8 and a 10-22mm.I currently have 17-85mm,50mm 1.8, 70-200mm 2.8is and 100mm. on a 450d.
I would like to shoot ultra wide seen some very creative work with the 10-22 but love the effect with 85mm.
Do i really need a 85mm as i already love the 70- 200mm for portraits or is the 85mm that good i should have one?
It will be another year before i'l be able to afford another lens don't want to be kickn myself for a year.??

I would go for the 10-22...

You already have the 50mm, which will be very similar to the 85, and that focal length is also covered by the 70-200.

Unless of course, you go for the 85mm f1.4! Now you're talking!!

These lenses are so different that it's hard to imagine them competing for your money but I suppose that in reality a choice has to be made...

As you already have a 50 and a 100mm the wide lens seems to offer something genuinely new, so much so that I think that you can make a good case for a wide lens being the most creative lens that you can have.
