Hello, can anyone advise me on where I can get one of these filters from at a decent wage?

Cheapest ones from a local retailer is probably fotosense.
I just bought mine from maxsaver which is even cheaper, but shipping can take a while so not the best option if you need it ASAP.
 
Cheers. Do BW only make screw in? Want a slot one preferably!

Not sure if they make a slot in one, but with most slot in's you'll have problems with light leakage around the edges of the slot in (the Lee Big Stopper avoids this, but costs as much as a B & W screw in.

Hi Kris,

have you used it yet ? I'm after one and this looks in the ballpark if the quality is good.

quality is very good on these - good solid feel and colours come out neutral/natural (i.e. not affected by filter)

Seconded.. but no front thread so the ND500 has to be the last filter installed. Not that it's usually a problem.
 
Cheers for the answers all. The no front thread is a bit a of a funny one, as I assumed I'd still be using a light ND grad in a holder on the front as well (the sky is still brighter than the sea etc, even through a 9 stopper). Do the B + W ones have a front thread ? Will I miss it ?
 
I don't know about any other filters I'm afraid. I also don't have a grad so couldn't tell you. I can't see you wanting to put any other filter on after it to be honest! Others may find it different!...
 
Just had my 77mm LCW ND500 delivered to Northern Ireland - ordered it midday yesterday from Premier Ink via their website and it arrived just after midday today.
Seems LCW have changed the spec as mine has a front thread and is only very slightly thinner than my Hoya 77mm UV (which vignettes slightly at 10mm on a Sigma 10-20).
It's certainly more than the 3mm thickness that Premier Ink quote in the description!
Haven't had a chance to give it a try as yet - but will post any results when I do.
If the vignetting turns out to be a problem I think I may return it - but, on the 'bright' side, at least I can get the Sigma lens cap on it! :shrug:
