What lenses these days (if any) use a 74mm dia filter?

What lenses these days (if any) use a 72mm dia filter?

What lenses these days (if any) use a 55mm dia filter?


Might be a strange way of asking, but I have just checked my filter list to see if I have any 77mm (hooray, I do!) and noticed I have these sizes also that I've never used.

Just a few off the top of my head:

Canon EF 85 1.2 MkI and MkII - 72 mm
Canon EF 135 f/2.0 - 72 mm
Canon EF 200 f/2.8 - 72 mm

Leica Summicron 35 f/2.0 - 55 mm

Thanks Maarten - I've heard really good things about the 85 f1.2 and I've seen some absolute stonkers from the 135 f2 (from a guy on here, can't remember his username (sorry!) but his website is here), might have to hang on to the 72mm's in case I get one or the other.

I've got a fair few 55mm so I may sell some to help fund next purchases.

Anyone else know any?

There doesn't seem to be any lens in the Canon EF line-up with a 55 filter. I think Canons primarily have 52mm and 58mm filter sizes for lenses with a filter size less than 60.

Haha! Well, nearly Rob - I have lots of filters that I sort of inherited, thinking about selling them so thought I'd better check first what they fit that may be on my shopping list before getting shot! Although I'll probably end up keeping msot of them anyway...
