A bit of advice please

I am about to enter into thew world of breeding/showing dogs and i am waiting on my first arrival in January. I was hoping someone could give me the name of either a site that designs webpages for you or some kind of program where i could do this myself as a total novice. The webpage would have to have numerous pages like upcoming litters, show results etc etc and be able to show a large number of photos. Could anyone tell me how much i would have to pay monthly, annually etc for the site to be built, maintained and hosted. All advice appreciated. I can build a simple website through Champdogs for a samll fee but i would rather have a website of my own. That way i could link it to these dog websites if i choose to.
 
take a look at www.webs.com. My wife used it to build her own site and had it up and running in no time. Not sure about costs but it's not expensive (or I would be sure ;))

Site creation and management can be expensive.

It depends whether you want to be on Google and other search engines in order to bring in work.

If you do then research has shown that you need to be on the front page of Google to get results.

Getting any site onto the front page cannot be accomplished in a few weeks, despite what a lot of adverts claim.

And your site has to be, and look, totally professional starting with the domain name.

What kind of dogs do you want to breed/show?
 
I'd say Worpress would be a good bet.
