A Bleak Day on Worsthorne Moor

With all these lovely sunset photos that have been shown recently, I thought I'd take us back just 2 weeks and show the contrasting weather we can have here in the UK

We were out walking on a freezing cold & windy Sunday morning, so I wanted to try and capture this feeling of bleakness and solitude.

Not sure I succeeded though or if they're any good - one time I look at them and like them, the next I think they're boring?

There is something I like about the first one cant put my finger on it, but your second shot is my favourite, only just

I really do like them both, the as gibbo said, there is something about the first shot, and for me that makes it the winner. Lovely stuff!

For me, I can feel the cold from that day each time I look at them, so they must work a bit

1 is great - though needs a re-crop

2 is boring - bin it

No1 is great, no cropping needed, just levels adjusted.

No2 is OK, but imho you have acheived your goal in no1.

EDIT; Something kept drawing me back to no1, so I had a quick play.
