We had proper snow today which gave a good covering. It changed things like the background and perches at my hide and gave something different to the norm.
That's lovely. I'm not sure what the chaffinch thinks about hanging onto an icy branch with cold feet. I'm sure you'll be keeping your feeders well topped up for them.

They spend less time on the metal frame of the feeder stand when it's so cold and more time on the perches, which might be a few degrees warmer being wood, although that frosty snow can't be nice to hang around on for long.
