A couple of close-ups

Evening all,

I don't venture a post in here very often as the standard is waaay too high, so I thought I'd have a little practice with my Sigma 70-300mm this afternoon.
Not much to look at (I don't even know what they are tbh) but any help is much appreciated.

Cant help with id, but I like the second one, although a 2 colour photo (yellow/green) the flower really stands out.

Thanks JL, it was the fact it was only 2 colours which drew me to take the shot.

can you remember the focal length and f stop you used?

I can it was f6.3 for 1/800 sec at 270mm.
