ok guys,

what do i do?

ive currently got a nikon d80,

with battery grip,
nikon 80-200 f2.8
nikon 50mm f1.8
nikon 70-300 f4-5.6
nikon 18-135
sb800
manfrotto tripod
lowepro mini trekker aw

now!!!

what do i do?

im thinking,

sigma 500mm f4.5 , and nothing else.( i need more length)

or do i?
get a nikon d300
a sigma 10-20mm
and a nikon 105mm vr macro

but i could do with extra length for wildlife work
and dont really want to get a lens that would stop me using the 80-200 f2.8 ( as this was a pressie for xmas :) )
such as the 80-400 or the sigma 50-500 ( bit too slow too really)

any suggestions guys?

Do you need the d300, why not get rid of that and replace it with a longer focal range lens

i dont NEED the d300, i like my d80 very much, but if i could i would up grade it but i suppose thats only to keep up with the jones'

i could sell my d80 and get a little return there too

Get yourself a projector so you can see all your shots super large and show all your family and friends just what a great tog you are ;)

Sell D80 + Nikon 70-300mm = £400-£500 profit (at a guess)

Second hand Sigma 300mm f2.8 or 120mm-300mm f2.8 £700 - £800 ish
Sigma 1.4X teleconverter - £90ish
Sigma 10-20mm £280
Nikon D300 - £1000
Nikon D300 Battery Grip - £200

So that would give you about £2500 to spend, and that lot would set you back around £2370. It would also give you 420mm of nice sharp glass. (Its the lens setup I use and its more than sharp). You could also replace the 10-20mm and get a macro lens, or adda bit more money to it all and get a cheaper macro lens (Tamron 90mm, Sigma 105mm or Sigma 150mm?)

:)
