A couple of hand held moth stacks

Gathering a good set of images for stacking was I think a very big ask for the first one, one handed, with separate hand-shake movements of the camera and the subject. Were these natural light? What shutter speeds? Were you judging the focus placement by eye or using in-camera focus bracketing? (that's what I have used for hand-held stack set captures.)

I find moths like that very difficult to get looking good in terms of clarity and detail. Personally I would keep small apertures like that (with high ISO where necessary) for single shots and use "sweet spot" apertures for stacks so as to capture the maximum detail.
