A couple of hours at Wildwood (Escot)

With the warmer weather, the bears were apparently out and about so we went up to see them before our annual membership ran out. Not an ideal place for photography but reasonable for the animals (FAR more important IMO!) so I only took the Fuji X-30. All cropping and resizing done in camera, hence the small pic sizes.

A first wander round didn't see any fauna so I snapped a few of the tree flowers that are out at the moment - Magnolias (Grandiflora and Stellata), Rhododendrons and (I think) a Laurel of some sort.

Then we spotted a bear and one of their wolves. Shooting through fairly fine mesh, even wide open is far from ideal but did get a few that are almost useable!



On the way back to lunch (nice burger with decent crispy chips!) one of the otters showed itself.



Then we popped in to the big Red Squirrel enclosure while the squealing children were making the café unpleasant, luckily, after we had finished our lunch!!!
