Used the little one at the weekend to be my guinea pig for the first test with some off camera flash using my newly acquired cactus v2's

Set him up on the garden table (Sturdy one I'll have you know), plonked him in his bumbo. Placed my Sigma 500 super set at 1/8th power to my left on light stand and STU, oh and fired via the cactus's

I know I have a lot to learn about flash work, but I had fun, like my shots and the wife is happy.

Technically they're perfect (y)

I like the last one best - the most impactful IMO.

To make an even simpler shot that works better, I'd put Wingnut Jnr. in a slightly more elevated position, so you could shoot him from below without the fence or bushes in the background. Just a pure blue sky as background :)

Cheers mate, an uncluttered background was my vision for the shot, with possibly a couple of wispy clouds floating by, but with two busted ribs this week, anything other than a quick kneel is painful.
Maybe next week when I didn't hurt as much I will get the perspective.
