A couple of peckers out today

Not posted anything for some weeks now, so took the camera out today. These were all taken with the Canon 500mm L lens and extension tube fitted. They are uncropped, the two woodpeckers (a male and a female) were as close as 5m at one stage, though an incoming phone call to my mobile soon moved them on.

The 40D is now in for a service as the mirror started to stick within the last month, so I probably won't get it back for 3 weeks now.
