Hi,
I would like to get a Nikon D60 for a present but don't know any good camera shops online, Could you possibly link me some good ones that sell the D60 with the kit lens.. At a good price too :p

Much appreciated

Thanks, owain.

get the D40 instead mate, same thing but less marketing gimick and thus much better value, will get you used to dslr and a popular camera if you decide to sell and upgrade or simply keep or donate to your family ;)

You'll struggle to find a D40 now....

Argos still have a few knocking about, i recently bought mine from there.

If this is your first DSLR then the D40 is the way to go, mainly because it so easy to use, very cheap & takes great pictures.

You could use the D40 for say a year or more with just 2 lenses ie the 18-55mm which comes with it & maybe add a 55-200mm VR both are excellent lenses, to help you learn & as you advance upgrade to a better Camera & better lenses.

^ my sentiments exactly, for the £100 more you can get another lens or other accessories, like filters or flash

:suspect:
Firstly i already own a D60. A friend has had a few shots with mine and now wants to jump to DSLR, he's have a good look around (3-4months worth) and whats to get a D60 to see if he likes it then jump to the D300 if not stay with the D60. He has asked me because he thinks i know the camera market online so i can get him a better deal but i don't.. hence why I'm asking. I have said about the D40 and D40x but no he likes the feel of the D60 so i let him be! Is the D40 much bigger or smaller then the D60 then?

Thanks anyway people, I think I've got more than enough good camera site's now
