A day of macro

went out and spent a whole day doing macro photography on sunday, i've not been out with the camera for a while and it was good to be out and about.
all shots taken with the d90 and tokina 100mm f2.8 with either a set of extension tubes or a 2x converter, some are with both. also used my custom flash bracket which i'll post a picture of later as i dont have any yet, some were taken with the flash hand held or strapped to the lens.

all shots are un-cropped with most having a bit of levels tweaking is ps.

some of the ID's might be well off, im still trying to learn what every thing is. i think 13 and 14 might be a skipper, *** im not sure.

as for the black background, its achieved by using flash, high shutter speeds and low ISO.
