Good shots. I'd like to see the other number 3 in colour as well.
Can I just ask what lens and set up you used for these? I'm new to all this, but I usually end up at a few bird displays over the summer and I am curious as to what I'd need to attempt shots like these.

Didn't do a colour version originally but had a quick play now so a colour version for you. Need a little more time to remove the blue colour cast of the wing tip but don't have time now. Thanks for all the comments.

Thanks for doing the colour version. I think the owl stands out better in the colour version.
