Yes
Parked up for my lunch in a layby this morning and heard woody way up in the trees managed to get him but he was a long way up and tricky to focus on so these are mega cropped and lightened and a bit of noise reduction.

I do like looking at woodies... so thumbs, but what have you done... there's weird black lines around everything?

the black lines could be because of the photo i started with which was not the best of shots as you can see

ahhh that explains it....
You guffed up the exposure / had the ISO too low.
Still they are woody shots (y)

Yep... tis a male too. :)

Lovely birds. My female is coming a couple of times a day, but always to the feeder so I can't be bothered with the shots. Trouble is she comes straight down out of the trees onto the feeder and when she's finished, goes straight back up - like the Space Shuttle! There's too much leaf cover at the moment, but when the leaves have gone in a week or two I might stand a chance of a more natural shot.

There's no ER on the end of the 'Great' bit Elvis. :)
