Found this tiny little guy in a hedge and had to take some shots. I never realised they were so good at flying.

I think it's a Hawthorn shield bug (Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale).

Inquisitive souls these. Had one crawl up a plant stem just to sit on the end staring. Quite surreal
