First, I know the highlights are way too bright :eek: but I just wanted to see what advice I could get re this pic.

It's a photo of my Grandaughter, Emie.

It's actually a composite. The sharper spurs blowing of the head are actually from another photo but Emie was out of focus so I blended them in with PS.
Canon 1000D with a 50mm prime.
Manual mode ISO 100 1/500sec f/2.2

I'm hoping to get another similar pic but I'll do a bit of screening or shoot in more shade if the light's as strong again (y)

I would of shot from the otherside so the sun was behind and slightly to the left or right, you would of got nice backlighting and it would of lit the sugars I think they're called on the dandelion clock nicely,
 
Thanks for the advice, Matt. It was a bit opportunistic and Emie was very fidgetty! A little more time thinking it through next time :thinking:
