Went upto an RSPB reserve near Barnsley this morning and got a few. c&c welcome....click to go large

Bush Crickets

A Bee

DragonFly - Not Sure On ID

And this little guy followed me about landing all over me and the camera - in the end I had to unclip a flash head and hold it infront of the lens hence the bizarre lighting.

Really nice set, the last looks like a deer or horsefly and I would imagine can deliver a nasty bite :puke:

Thanks all for the comments, the reserve is Dearne Valley - Old Moor, great cafe there ideal for a brew and butty during the day, not a very big reserve, but ideal insect habitat.

thanks gary for your comments from a non macro view much appreciated

Some excellent shots there. What lens dioptres tubes T/c's did you use.

I've never been there and I live so close. I really should get my bum and camera down there.

Very good work.

That last shot is wonderful. They do look strange up close and personal
