Following on from a thread about something completely different, can anyone say with certainty that the following machine and software will work with OSx Lion

2.8 duo core 24" imac
photoshop CS4
Lightroom 2.

I'll need to apply a patch for the onone photosuite, but thats just been released so no worries there.

I'm getting conflicting info on the compatibility of it all :(

No one has lion on an older system with oooooooold software then :'(

My older hardware runs Lion fine but have CS5 & LR3 so don't know about them.

You could load Lion onto an external hard drive and boot from that and then test CS4 & LR2 that way.

The Mac will be fine, it is the older versions of Adobe that I do not know about...Best to check with Adobe themselves.

See Here from Adobe's web site.

If you have Lightroom 2.7 you are fine, if not it is a free upgrade from 2.x

For CS4 there is a free script to turn off the Rosetta parts. Generally OK though and a few work arounds.

Thanks for the updates guys, The issues with CS4 concern me and my lightroom is only 2.5 and doesn't seem to want to update :0

With today's deal on lightroom 3 I might take the plunge and buy a new version of the software....the noise reduction is much better than in Lr2

Cs5 would be nice too, but I'm not sure on how to go about installing lion and then doing a clean install of the new CS and Lr products. Would it just be a case of deleting the programs before the lion update and installing fresh?

edit.....it's let me update Lr to 2.7 now
