a quick question about my sony a200

when i switch the dial on my sony a200 to S and take a picture it automaticaly stores three copies of the same picture. is this normal?

Have you got it set to Bracketing by any chance?

hi thanksfor the reply. im a noob to all this so bare with me. i dont know what braketing is but there is an icon on screen that shows BRK wb Lo is that it? if so how do i disable it. thanks a lot.

Yes, it looks like you have it set for Bracketing (It allows for 3shotys of different exposure which can then be merged at editing). On the A700 there's a button called "Drive" which changes it to single shot, continuous shot, bracketing etc but I'm not sure if the A200 has it. If not, have a look through the menus.
