Guess you dont have to pan when you're up there with them!

Tell us more about handling a camera and lens within the confines of a plane (which I assume is fairly cramped), and shooting through windows?

Looking good though Chris.

its pretty straightforward shooting from a plane, both planes traveling the same speed etc
the problem lies with having 'crappy' windows which gives the autofocus all sorts of problems, and 'umpteen' OOF shots

On this trip I got quite a 'sweat on' as the camera could not focus thru the appalling glass
imagine taking a picture into a large glass that has had milk smearing the sides - thats what its like with 90% of the windows

obviously some are not that bad, but I lost countless pictures of the Typhoons because of this

as for being fairly cramped -- its not, as the standard planes are military VC10's or Tristars which ARE not passenger planes
