I love photographing damsels but I'm not the best at ID, but according to the books, this is a Large Red female.
I'd spotted a few Large Reds last year (2017) at a site in a local forest but they were few and far between. I returned, yesterday, there were hundreds but very skittish due to the heat. It was also quite a clamber through nettles and undergrowth to reach the area, next time, I really shouldn't wear shorts.
I saw quite a few dragonflies too, probably 7 or so and they looked big. They were flying at a distance though.
Not quite as sharp as I'd like but I'll take it.
