There is another active thread at the moment discussing the pros/cons of purchasing an MP-E lens. Well this is the main reason I bought mine. I wanted to be able to get up close and personal to these fascinating little creatures and I think the MP-E certainly delivers that. I'm still working on getting even closer and being able to resolve more detail. For comparison, here is my first collembola shot using a full set of extension tubes and a 50mm prime:
