Hi all,
I was in the Alps over the weekend, 1, because I wanted some clean air for my lungs and 2, because I knew there was still some life up there for me to photograph.
Here is a cricket of some sorts that I found, my other half loves all types of cricket but when she saw this one her jaw dropped.
It was a reasonable size and I didnt want to get bitten by it so I was very careful.
I really like the colours and textures on this one.
Your views are appreciated.

Thanks for looking, this and many other critters are available to view over on my flickr page.

Nice capture Graham. I like the complementary colours of the background.
Thanks Nick, Yes that BG is complementary, its something I didnt think about.

What an amazing creature - wonderful colour and details on its back and as Nick said a very pleasing combination of colours with cricket, background and plant. Very nice!
Thanks Emma, there's so many different types of cricket, I think this place has most of them.
Thanks for your comment.

Tis a proper Beastie, and very nicely taken, Graham...what sort of size was it?

I like that Graham it is very well shot.
Have managed to ID it?
