A tripod for £50-£75 ...

Hey guys, I recently broke my ancient Slik 88M tripod... so my sister offerfed to get me a new one for my xmas present.

Is it worth me getting a tripod for 50-70 pounds ?

I do studio work and also some long exposures etc... I will probably use it more and more next year as I launch my business full time in March/April 2012.

Any advice on whether it is would be great ... and also which to get !

Hi Alex;

Have a good look at the Giottos 9271B (aluminium) tripod, very sturdy for the money. I handled one last weekend and was impressed with it!

I've just ordered one from Jessop's online, £74.95, head extra etc...

Check out redsnapper, I love mine. The 3 way head and tripod combo is £60 iirc

Velbon Luxi L works for me. Is compact to travel with and sturdy enough for my 450D and 70-300. I think it was around £80 when I got it last year.

Great value and nice n sturdy, legs open right out, and you can get down low.
Foam on the legs as well so no cold hands
