I cannot find a Nikkor 35mm [ or better a 28mm] at a price I can justify on a pension

anybody aware of the quality of Hoya lens.......:help:

seen this....."Hoya wide Auto 28mm 2.8 Nikon Fit Lens"
it was used on a Nikon FE ....so should fit my F3.........

thanks

I managed to find an AI-Nikkor 35mm f/2 for £120 - just keep looking...

Keep your eye on small ads in local papers, secondhand shops and Ebay. Just by chance something may come up... also word of mouth. Not being rude, but older folks tend to have 35mm camera bags from the 80's/90's stuffed away in wardrobes replaced by a lighter compact or nothing. Even advertise for 'Nikon' kit where they have pensioners meetings etc. You could just be lucky. I did voluntary work for a charity about ten years ago and every now and again a camera bag would arrive amongst or the clothes and ornamnets cleared out by the family of a passed relative. In fact may be a good time to get that job again! :)
