Hi folks,

A while ago, I started a Wordpress site and although I've not used it much, I'm trying to get back into it again.

What I'd like to know is probably quite straightforward to those of you who are familiar with the back end of the blogs.

I'm in the middle of creating a new page for a recent wedding and I need to find a way to add multiple images to the page. So far I've only been able to add them one at a time which is quite frustrating.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks,
Si

Add all the images via the media upload button (above the text boxes), then when you've uploaded them all, click the gallery tab at the top of the popup, and insert gallery.

Voila.

Gallery, done.

Hopefully that's right, telling you from the top of my head!

that sounds right, the only issue with that is they only appear as small thumb nails on the page (if thats an issue)

NextGen is a great solution. You can even improve it with an additional plugin developed for it called "smooth gallery." You can see and download it from here: http://uninuni.com/wordpress-plugin-nextgen-smooth-gallery/

Smooth gallery adds an optional carusel and also nice arrows for browsing...

As a special note, WordPress is a very powerful piece of software... simply to use and to customise... the best CMS IMHO. Just make sure to keep it updated, as well all plugins.

Hi all,

Thanks to a bit of help over Skype with Steff (Bendihossan), I've sussed it out... I was trying to add images as a separate entity rather than adding them to the page directly which is why I was screwing things up.

The only trouble is, the page has gone into the parent page but not in the right place so now I've got to figure out how to reorganise the pages within the parent one. :)

I bloody hate doing stuff like this... No wonder web designers get paid well! ;)

Thanks for all the help,
Si
