Quail.
Went to Beale Park last weekend specifically to find some Quail ond get a shot for my A - Z of Animals Project (link in the sig or set on my flickr if you are interested).
I know this sounds stupid now but I didn't realise Quail were so small. Thinking about it now I knew their eggs were tiny so it makes sense that they are dinky too but it made it quite difficult to find the damn things! These are Chinese Painted Quails which I think are even smaller than other types. The males were a much more exciting blue colour but I didn't get any shots of a male that I am happy with. C&C welcome - I will be using one of these shots in the project (not many other options for Q at the moment!) so if you could let me know which is your favourite that would be helpful...
