Hi,

Looking for the best overall camera from these 4.

My budget is about £600 for new kit.

Got shakey hands so would like one with good anti shake.

Will be taking pics of pretty much anything and everything.

The 2 Canons come with the 18-55 is lens, the Nikon with 18-55 Vr, and the sony with the 55-200 and 18-70 (which I would replace with the newer 18-55 sam)

I like the feel of all the cameras but would like honest opinions on which is the better overall camera.

My brains about to explode I've read so much :bang:
 
I have not got that much knowledge and I am sure that someone will be along shortly to help you but the general view I get is that all modern SLRs are good and that you will get great results from them all if you shoot correctly.

The Sony will have anti-shake built into the camera which will help if you have shaky hands, but so will the VR system of the Nikon, but Vr lenses are expensive to buy.

Just my 2p, I have a Nikon and love it.

As above the Sony has image stabalisation built into the Camera, both Canon and Nikon sell lenses with IS built in. There is mixed opinion which is best, personally, I prefer the IS in the lens.

As regards which - best advice is find a decent shop that has several models in and have a play to see which feels best to you :thumbs:
 
I had a play with them, didnt like the new A380, hence going for the 350.

Was just wondering which was better for image quality or are they all similar at this price?
 
I doubt you will find much difference in image quality, is really all about how you find the camera to use and hold that should decide which one you get.
 
I did hold a D5000 yesterday in Jessops and was surprised how small it was. I'd be worry about camera shake and I've got fairly steady hands.

Think I'll go for the aplha then as I'm familiar with the controls.

As they all seem fairly similar (not bothered about video as its a camera), I'll stick with what I know.
