A5 or A6 print sizes?

I'm wanting to show off some photos that I took by printing them off and giving them to a friend. Thing is, I have no idea about print sizes.

I'm thinking of printing A5 or A6 sizes. What dimensions do I crop my photos for it?

A6 - 105mm x 148mm
A5 - 148mm x 210mm

I think Jessops prefer JPEGs - they also tend to use the more traditional photo sizes rather than the A series. Closest equivalent to A6 would be 6" x 4" while A5 is closest to 7" x 5" (they may do you 7.5" x 5" to keep the 3:2 aspect ratio if you ask nicely but most albums are 7x5 for some reason). Your best bet is to visit your closest branch and see what sizes they're offering (and what deals).

an 8x6 is A5 and they are quite big print sizes for showing prints i have a few in a folder that i bought from partners and i do all the printing at max speilmann

Generally (over here anyway) prints are measured in inches, and tend not to be Ax sizes.
