A77 Body - Who Lives In Bristol?

This is an odd ask.....

My local Sony centre sells A77 body at £999, however, Bristol Sony Centre asks £899 for the body. OK, so they will send the body to me in the post but not take payment over the phone (company policy !).

Does anyone live in the area to help me out?

What kind of help are you looking for vanilla :thinking: I live and work around Bristol and also deliver to Paignton Totness and Dawlish on a Wed and Frid.
 
Thanks to all of you !! I will see if they will price match...I spoke to the deputy manager about the camera and he openly stated that some Sony centres were more expensive than others ! I couldn't believe it really !

I will ask again........
 
I live near Bristol and got my body only for £900, but there'd be a problem in buying for someone else because the purchase would be in my name therefore so would the warranty. The Enfield Sony centre will shop countrywide for £959.
You might give Sony Europe a call though as the new cameras are shipped directly from them. They took my order by phone and allowed me to state Cribbs Causeway Bristol as my local store. I got the confirmation email from the Cribbs Causeway store.

Are you talking about the Broadmead branch or the Cribbs Causeway branch? Reason I ask is both branches are showing £1299 on the sony website.
 
I got mine from Sony Europe direct but quoting my local store as Cribbs Causeway (see above). £1299.99 is for camera plus 16-50mm lens including delivery. The body only is £899.99 including delivery. Both body only and kit are currently showing as next day delivery (as of 19/10/11).
Incidently, I have heard from another dealer that both Bristol stores are under administration which is why they have undercut every other dealer including other Sony stores. They need the cash flow. I'm taking it with a pinch of salt, but whenever I've been to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway the place hasn't exactly been heaving with customers.
