Think ive had the most frustrating day togging in the two odd years ive been trying this game, went down to where i know there are Kingfishers, left about 8 got there at 9ish seen the kf's flying up and down the river straight away, at this point im thinking this is going to be a great day. Found a great spot to hide myself and watch over a over hanging perch sat for 2 hours watching the kf flying up and down then the kf landed, shame it was the opposite way from i was facing and if i turned round it would be off in a flash. sat and watched it for a few mins before it buggered off. move up river to spot a dipper grey wag tails and even a mink all when i didnt have the camera set up.

Moved back down river and watched another perch for about 3 hours with no sign of the kf, packed camera up and started to walk back to the car when out the corner of my eye i see the kf diving into water then fly to a nice perch opposite me so i try to set camera back up and get the kf in the view finder when it buggered off again just before i pressed the shutter button.

All in all a nightmare of a day :bang::bang:

The first time I have been out with my camera for ages took up the offer of wandering around the local manor grounds, beautiful, sat by the lake , family of buzzards, kingfishers, geese birds, ducks, coots, wildlife of all sorts and do you know what............................ ????????????????????

I was to frightened to get my camera out of the case in case I took a bad shot. :bang: :bang:

What the heck is wrong with me.:shrug:


Perfect opportunity and missed it.
