ACR slow with 1DX files

I have just gone from 1DMKIV to a 1DX. I know the files are a little bigger but in a speed test converting 50 raw files from both cameras into jpegs the MKIV's took 3min 20sec and the 1DX took 4min 30sec around 35% longer. Any ideas why or how to optimise ACR preferences. I have notice whilst converting both sets of images only 50% of the cpu is being used. All other programs were shut down and cache purged. Cheers for any help
 
Well the files are 12% larger in physical resolution but I've no idea about actual data (mb) size difference from the different processor, what were the average file size of the 50 x 1D4 and 50 x 1DX files
 
Nick, try asking this on the 1Dx owners site...might get more response.
Must admit I've never timed the conversion...

I presume you have dual core system. You could export 2 lots of 25 at the same time. This should use 100% CPU then.

I am not sure about speeds, but maybe 1DX files need more processing power
